STITCHES USED: ch- chain, hdc-half double crochet, st-stitch, sl st-slip stitch, dc-double crochet,yo-yarn over
FOUNDATION ROW:
RND1: ch 10, 2 hdc in 3rd ch from hook, 1hdc in each next 6 ch, 6 hdc in last ch.(working around the other side) 1 hdc in each next 6 ch, ending with 3hdc in last ch,sl st to starting ch.
RND2: ch2, put 1 hdc in same space, 2hdc in next 2 sts., 1 hdc in next 7 sts, 2hdc in next 5 ch, working around, 1hdc in next 7 sts, ending with 2hdc in each 2 sts, sl st in starting ch
RND3: WORK IN BACK LOOPS ONLY THIS ROUND, ch2, 1hdc in each st around, sl st in starting ch.
RND4-5: ch2, 1hdc in each st around, sl st in starting ch.DON'T FASTEN OFF, pull up a loop and leave it for now.
***NOTE: for making this toe area: do 15 partial dc's by: yo insert next st, yo draw all loop thru st and yo draw thru 2 loops on hook,leaving last loop on the hook while working next xtitch.Do this for all 15 sts, so that you end up with 16 loops on the hook, pull tight and yo once more thru last loop on hook.Tie off, weave ends.
TOE: Fold the bootie 1/2 lengthwise, determine the center front, count back from center 8 sts, attach yarn there. ch3 -this will count as 1st partial dc,work partial dc (as stated above) in next 15 sts,for a total of 16 st.
CUFF: Pick up a loop at the back of bootie( previous pullud up loop fr. rnd 5). pull back to fix then ch2, 1hdc in each st around opening,join with sl st in ch2
RND2-5: ch2, make 1hdc front post st, then 1hdc back post stitch.repeat around.join.
-end off after row 5.weave ends run a string ribbon tru 1st cuff row and tie a bow on front.
